Most El Paso therapists are invisible to the clients actively searching for help.
- —
A Psychology Today profile puts you next to your competitors.
Directories show clients a list of therapists side by side. Your own website sends them directly to you — and ranks for specialty-specific searches like "EMDR therapist El Paso" or "trauma counselor El Paso" that the directory won't rank you for individually.

No online scheduling means losing patients who won't leave a voicemail.
Someone ready to start therapy at 11pm on a Sunday will not call your office. They'll book online with whoever makes it easy. Integrating your scheduling tool directly into the site captures that moment.

El Paso's Spanish-speaking community is chronically underserved in mental health access.
70%+ of El Paso is Hispanic. Demand for bilingual therapy — especially trauma, couples, and family counseling — far exceeds supply. A bilingual website is one of the fastest ways to fill a caseload in this market.

What a therapy practice actually needs from its website.
Accessibility, with a deadline if you bill Medicaid.
Section 504 requires WCAG 2.1 AA by May 11, 2027 for providers receiving federal funding — May 10, 2028 under 15 employees. Source: HHS, 91 FR 25496. Even if you're entirely private-pay, the ADA still applies to your site today.
Verified, not asserted.
Every site I build is verified against WCAG 2.1 AA — axe-core on every page at three screen sizes, contrast computed by hand including hover states. Most agencies never check. Some check wrong.
Being your client is itself protected information.
Not just what someone discussed in session — the fact that they see you at all. That rules out client testimonials with identifying detail, visible intake lists, and anything that confirms a specific person is a client.
Watch the free-text box on your contact form.
People will type things into it that you'd rather not receive by email. I keep the form to name, email, and reason for reaching out, and route anything clinical to the HIPAA-compliant scheduling tool you already pay for.
I build so PHI stays out of scope rather than selling you a compliance program I'm not qualified to run. I'm not a lawyer and I don't certify legal compliance.
Questions therapists and counselors ask.
Do you understand HIPAA requirements for therapist websites?
I understand the basics — no patient info on the site, no unencrypted contact forms that transmit PHI, secure hosting. The contact form on your site collects only name, email, and general inquiry. Appointment details happen through your HIPAA-compliant scheduling tool (Jane App, SimplePractice, Calendly Health, etc.), which I'll link to — not replicate.
Can you build a bilingual site in English and Spanish?
Yes — and for an El Paso mental health practice, this isn't optional, it's a differentiator. El Paso is 70%+ Hispanic with a large Spanish-first population. A bilingual practice page, insurance/fees section, and service descriptions can meaningfully expand your patient base.
Can clients schedule online through the site?
I'll integrate your existing scheduling tool — SimplePractice, Jane App, Calendly, Psychology Today's booking widget — directly into the site. Clients click, see your availability, and book without calling. That alone captures patients who won't leave a voicemail.
My practice is listed on Psychology Today / Therapist.com. Why do I also need a website?
Directories send clients to a platform that also shows your competitors side by side. Your own site sends them directly to you. It also ranks on Google for your specific specialties — 'EMDR El Paso', 'trauma therapist El Paso', 'bilingual counselor El Paso' — terms the directory won't rank you for individually.
